Security is of the utmost importance when building out an Active Directory domain, as a compromised domain can lead to the compromise of the entire IT infrastructure.

Unfortunately securing Active Directory is also one of its more complex aspects. This is due to the numerous moving parts, legacy security concerns requiring manual remidiation, and Microsoft’s emphasis on maintaining backwards compatibility.
